<br />You must all be thinking "what is happening right now? Rachel's actually posting something!?"</center>
<center>
I know, I know! It's been forever. For that I apologize, but I thought I'd better get my butt into gear and start posting again before I leave for America (which is in FIVE DAYS by the way)! </center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
Saturday night was an emotional one for sure. <a href="http://www.sineadelle.blogspot.co.nz/">Sinead</a> and I had our leaving party at my house with most of our friends from school. It was our last big get together (read: excuse to drink lots and eat too much junk food) with everyone before we go, and it was awesome. It was also themed "no cups" so everyone had to drink out of odd things like jars, vases and teapots. There was even a baby bottle and a child's gumboot!</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
My friend Sam came down from Auckland specially for the party and she helped me all day with the arduous task of baking and decorating 36 cupcakes, as well as attempting homemade pretzels. The pretzels were incredibly difficult to make, and didn't look too pretzel-y when we were done, but apparently tasted pretty good! </center>

Hello everyone!</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
I'm a very happy chappy today, as I officially graduated University yesterday! It was a long day, but so worth it. It was great seeing everyone again and seeing how much people have achieved in three short years. </center>
<center>
It was also pretty awesome wearing the robes and trencher for the day - although we weren't allowed to throw the trencher in the air, which was a little bit of a killjoy!</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
Here are some pictures of the day: </center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-kXQkTn733uA/UXDQWKlwvnI/AAAAAAAAAQo/6BQQw3sLsuM/s1600/IMG_0326.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="400" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-kXQkTn733uA/UXDQWKlwvnI/AAAAAAAAAQo/6BQQw3sLsuM/s400/IMG_0326.JPG" width="300" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Here's me looking all snazzy in the robes, official degree in my hand!</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Wks2TxrCnQg/UXDQasClc_I/AAAAAAAAAQw/_vRVu00U1sY/s1600/IMG_0328.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="300" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-Wks2TxrCnQg/UXDQasClc_I/AAAAAAAAAQw/_vRVu00U1sY/s400/IMG_0328.JPG" width="400" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">I wanted a cheesy 'hats in the air' photo, so Dad took this one of Sinead and I.<br /><br /><br /></td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'm very proud of myself for completing my degree - which I've forgot to mention is a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Psychology - even though I still have no idea what I want to do in the future. Hopefully I will have some sort of revelation while I'm overseas!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
That's it for today! Next up, my 21st!</div>

<br />On Friday I got the opportunity to see one of my absolute FAVE bands perform live! I was so super excited that they had come back to New Zealand, as the last time they came in 2008, it was an R18 show and I wasn't old enough.</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
So behold, photos from the amazing concert that was The Script!</center>
<center>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I have some videos of my favourite songs, but for some reason they are not uploading properly. They all had rather shaky filming anyway, as my friends and I were constantly getting shoved around by people trying their hardest to get in front of us. (They didn't succeed. Try again next time losers).</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Hopefully I'll be able to upload the videos sometime soon. In the meantime, here are a few more photos. The photos are mainly of Danny. Forgive me, he's just too beautiful. Plus, I love me some Irish accent!</div>

Hello Lovelies! </center>
<center>
This is when I write a post about everything I've been listening to, eating, watching, wearing, and most of all, OBSESSING over for the past month!<br />I missed February Obsessions, so I'm going to go hard out on this one. You're in for a treat. Hopefully. </center>

<br /></center>
<center>
<b>Music Obsession</b>: <i>Still 'Halcyon' by Ellie Goulding! If you haven't listened to this album yet, drop what you're doing and go check it out! If you've only got time for one song, I recommend track number 2 called 'My Blood'. Its spectacular.</i></center>
<center>
<b>Movie Obsession:</b> <i>I just saw 'Oz The Great and Powerful'. Aside from the few cheesy moments, I thought it was such a fun and exciting movie. And the effects were amazing. I want to live in Oz (but then again, who doesn't?)</i></center>
<center>
<b>Book Obsession:</b> <i>I just started 'The Book Thief' by Markus Zusak. I'm only a few pages in, but I'm enjoying it already. That's why its here - a future obsession prediction. </i></center>
<center>
<b>Food Obsession</b>: <i>It's technically a type of drink, but its simply divine. Perfect on a chilly day while snuggled up on the couch.</i></center>
<center>
<b>Clothing Obsession:</b> <i>My thing lately has been maxi dresses. Currently awaiting this purple one in the mail. It will be perfect for my long flight to L.A, as its soft and stretchy material.</i></center>
<center>
<i><br /></i></center>
<center>
I've saved the best til last....</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
<b>T.V Obsession</b>: <i>GAME OF THRONES! Season 3 is back this week, and I am so amped! Just seeing this simple promo is enough to get me all excited. Furthermore, I've just seen these game of thrones themed pint glasses on the interwebs. I must have them!!!</i></center>

Time for another Disney update.</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
Right now I'm sitting around, anxiously awaiting the arrival of my official Disney welcome package. The welcome package will have all of the information we need to sort out our Visa, as well as our medical insurance for when we are in the states. </center>
<center>
When the welcome pack arrives it will all feel so much more official! I can't wait. It should be arriving in April, so that's not far off at all.</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
I thought to pass the time, I'd get all involved in the Disney Challenge again. I had previously got up to number 5, and then failed miserably at keeping up to date with it,</center>
<center>
Right, so lets pick it back up!</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
Day 6: Your favourite animal.</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
<img height="200" src="http://noethics.net/News/images/stories/dumbo.gif" width="200" /><br /><br />It's safe to say that this little guy is by far my favourite animal. He's just so adorable!! But I do have a second that I just had to include out of love:</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><img src="http://24.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lp88xzjGkD1r09xrbo1_400.jpg" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" /></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">It's Figaro the Cat! I'm neutral about Cleo the fish.</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
Day 7: Your favourite sidekick:</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
This one was a little bit more difficult, so again, I've decided upon two. Well, technically it's four, but only two movies:</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><img src="https://encrypted-tbn3.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcQM15azOXxdczdkbKSyir4Tc9BTMMwsmfVR9C4YHaHfe3JAE7t9" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" /></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Made even more cool by the fact that Robin Williams is his voice :)</td></tr>
</tbody></table>

<center>
So there you have it, a couple more Disney favourites! </center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
Have a magical day! </center>

Hello everyone. Long time no blog. Like looooooong time. </center>
<center>
I have no definitive explanation as to why I've been so slack on the blog front. I think it's actually just been pure laziness. And lack of good life stories. </center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
But.....I now have an exciting story! Woohoo.</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
Last week, I attended an Emergency First Aid training course as part of my work training. It was a whole day of putting random people I've never met into the recovery position, doing CPR on an adult dummy, a child dummy, and a little baby dummy; and practising bandaging up difficult injuries. For the bandaging part, we have to split into groups and decide on an injury that would be hard to deal with. My group went with the ear, and some poor guy named Damian had to sit looking like a dork with a massive bandage around his head.</center>
<center>
So, a few days ago, I received my certificate in the mail, which officially makes me a trained First Responder! I'm also now a nominated first aider for my work, which makes me a little nervous, but I doubt that anything will ever happen.</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
...Touch wood.</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
Official proof of my lifesaving skills:</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-eI3_ntIm8d8/UUgAWdMqnLI/AAAAAAAAAO4/zUPWmvDgxas/s1600/130319-185503.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-eI3_ntIm8d8/UUgAWdMqnLI/AAAAAAAAAO4/zUPWmvDgxas/s320/130319-185503.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
So, there you have it. I can at least attempt to save your life If you are ever dying. </center>
<center>
I'm quite proud of myself actually, for finally learning a new skill that is actually an incredibly valuable thing to know. </center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
Do any of you lovely readers know first aid? Have you ever had to save someone's life? I'm quite terrified of the day that I might have to...<br /><img src="http://i1149.photobucket.com/albums/o595/rachelmaree29/LoveRachel_zps1369cbfd.png" /></center>

Hello!</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
Hope you are having an excellent weekend so far. I definitely am!</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
Yesterday (Saturday 26th) I road-tripped to Auckland with Sinead to meet up with some of the other people from New Zealand who are going to Disney in August. I was a little but nervous, as spending a whole day with randoms I've never met isn't really my jam.</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
But... it ended up being really awesome!</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
We were expecting a group of about 10 people, but there ended up only being 5 of us. Looking back, this was actually a good thing, as we got to have a proper conversation with everyone individually throughout the day. </center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
We wen't for lunch at Sal's Pizza, which is authentic New York pizza. We shared a whole pizza between the 5 of us, and had two massive slices each. After that we went to Starbucks for frappucinos, and then headed down to Silo Park and chilled out listening to some live music and watching a bit of the busking festival. </center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
All in all, it was a really good day meeting everyone. It kind of felt like I'd known the girls for ages by the end of the day,which is quite crazy. They were all lovely girls and we plan on meeting up again sometime soon. Hopefully more people will come to the next one!</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
Photo's to come.</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
Have a great weekend!</center>
<center>

<br />Alright, I'm back for another Coffee Talk link up. You know the drill.</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
<center>
<center>
</center>
<center>
<a href="http://23seventeen.blogspot.com/search/label/coffee%20talk" target="_blank"><img src="http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q315/nbest1980/buttons/NEWCOFFEETALK_zpsf2db38cc.png" /></a></center>
</center>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I'm going to keep this short and sweet this week. I'm quite tired and can't really be arsed typing a lot. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<i>Q1: Do you drink the milk after eating cereal or do you dump it out?</i><br />I will drink the milk 99.9% of the time. What's the point in putting milk in if you are just going to waste it. Milk ain't cheap yo. Plus, the milk after some chocolaty cereal like cocoa puffs is just as good as the actual cereal!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<i>Q2: Do you share drinks/food?</i></div>
<div>
Sometimes I will if I'm in a generous mood. This is referring to drinks mainly. But not out of my own glass - I don't want your germs. I hate sharing food. If I can avoid giving someone my food, I will. </div>
<div>
<i><br /></i></div>
<div>
<i>Sidenote</i>: I hate that 'last biscuit' scenario. When you want the last biscuit but it's the rules that you have to offer it to the other person first. I hate that rule. And it's the worst when the other person DOES end up taking it. Breaks my heart.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<i>Q3: How often do you replace your toothbrush?</i></div>
<div>
I have an electric toothbrush, so you just have to replace the little heads. I replace them when the other one is looking a bit dead.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<i>Q4: How often do you wash your hair?</i></div>
<div>
I wash it every second day usually. If I wash it every day it goes all weird and dry.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<i>Q5: Do you use a dishwasher or hand wash the dishes?</i></div>
<div>
Mostly the dishwasher. Except my mum insists on handwashing pots and pans. It's so annoying. Pans I understand, but pots can totally go in the dishwasher if they're rinsed properly. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
That's it for this week's coffee talk! Go link up with Natalie to join in.</div>

Hi Everyone!</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
Sadly, there's not much to update on the Disney front since booking my flights. I did forget to give my Air New Zealand Airpoints number to the travel agent when I booked though, so I've emailed her and she's added it to the booking. Phew! Was worried I wasn't going to get some sweet deals for a moment there.</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
I've also sent my letter from University stating that I have completed my degree and will be graduating in April. Disney emailed me back saying that they've added it to my file. Good to know. </center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
That's literally all that's happened so far. Argh! All this waiting is driving me nuts. I just want it to be August already!!</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
I'll do another couple of Disney Days to keep things interesting. </center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
Day #4: Your favourite heroine:</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
Probs Megara.</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
<img height="320" src="http://images1.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20120603174125/disney/images/d/d7/Meg-vol2-disney-princess-30782130-281-700.jpg" width="128" /></center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
Cause she's badass. Enough said. </center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
Day #5: Your favourite hero:</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
I'm going with Simba from <strike>Hamlet with Lions</strike> The Lion King.</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-86Ff_sWSp7g/TVf0w1YDu7I/AAAAAAAAAJ8/AMPDLBiiknA/s1600/SimbaFinal2Small.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="248" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-86Ff_sWSp7g/TVf0w1YDu7I/AAAAAAAAAJ8/AMPDLBiiknA/s320/SimbaFinal2Small.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
He has a bit of a crisis of faith - as you would if your father was murdered by your uncle and then you were blamed for it - but he comes back stronger and fights for his family and takes down the evil Scar. Yeeeah!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
That's it for now. The NZ people going to Disney are having a meetup this weekend in Auckland, so I'll have an update for ya'll about that soon!</div>

<br />Last night was movie night with the family and we went to see Les Miserables. </center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
<img height="160" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-JIO8mnIV_gk/UOrlLla_g2I/AAAAAAAAA7o/jkiG6qBDE2Y/s320/les+mis+poster.jpg" width="320" /></center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
I have wanted to see this movie ever since I heard it was being made. But did it live up to my expectations?</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
Yes!</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
Les Mis was pretty much amazing. Anne Hathaway (who I usually don't like in anything) was brilliant, and I had a little tear while she was singing 'I dreamed a dream'. Her portrayal of Fantine was just heartbreaking. Another actor who was really good was Eddie Redmayne who plays Marius. You could tell that he was one of the actors that was a trained singer, as well as Samantha Barks who played Eponine. Hugh Jackman was great as Jean Valjean, although there were a tiny number of singing bits that were a bit iffy.</center>
<center>
Russell Crowe should never sing again.</center>
<center>
Helena Bonham Carter and Sacha Baron Cohen almost stole the show as the Innkeepers! 'Master of the House' is my favourite song from Les Mis, and they totally did it justice. They are the much needed comic relief of the whole thing and did it brilliantly.</center>
<center>
Oh, and the two little kids that played young Cosette (the girl in the poster above) and the little boy at the baracades, Gavroche, were so adorable!</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
The cinematography was excellent, and the sets were so great. And I felt really proud of myself when I *spoiler alert * picked up on the foreshadowing of Javert's death.</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
I have seen the stage show as well, so I knew what was going to happen as the movie progressed, but seeing the movie is a completely different experience. I think something that the movie adds is the ability to see the emotion really close up. When you are in the audience of the stage show, it is sometimes hard to see the expressions on the actors faces, due to the fact that you are seated far away. </center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
Some negatives would be that the movie (just like the stage show) does drag on a bit. It is almost three hours long, and when all the dialogue is sung instead of spoken, it can get a bit tedious in parts. Definitely will not appeal to all cinema-goers. Also, while the close ups were good in some parts, director Tom Hooper does really love the close-up shot. </center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
Overall I give Les Mis:<br /><img height="46" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-F9Vb186Zg60/TxN6VcUPsTI/AAAAAAAATko/WtQFwJimFsA/s200/stars4.png" width="200" /></center>

Hi Everyone!</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
There's been a pretty major development on the Disney front: The flights have officially been booked! Wahooo! I am now $1,173 poorer, but I'm so excited because it now means I am fo' reals going to Orlando in August. </center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
I leave on the 3rd of August (a Saturday) at 9.30pm!</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
Alright, time for another Disney Day! I've missed a few days of this so I'm going to combine two days.</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
#2 Your favourite princess:</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
My favourite princess is definitely Belle! </center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
<img src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/a/aa/Princess_Belle.jpg/250px-Princess_Belle.jpg" /></center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
What I like about her is that she is actually just a normal girl, who isn't entitled or anything, and treats everyone really nicely. And she sees the best in everyone too. Even beast, who is a total dick to her.</center>
<center>
Plus, I have always wanted that yellow ball gown. </center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
#3 Your favourite Prince</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
I would have to go with Prince Naveen from The Princess and the Frog. </center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
<img height="320" src="http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20111205022613/disney/images/6/6f/RMK1425GM_z.jpg" width="180" /></center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
He's a bit of a dick but he's hilarious (even if he is a frog for most of the movie). And he turns out to be a real nice guy in the end. And he and Tiana live happily ever after. Awwww!</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
So that's it for today folks! Hope you all have fabulous weekends!</center>

I'm excited to be starting a new monthly traditon - It's called monthly faves. Every month, I will show you what I've been obsessing over. Sounds fun right?<br />Most importantly, I found this idea through <a href="http://23seventeen.blogspot.co.nz/">NAT</a>, who found it through <a href="http://www.closeencountersblog.com/">KAYLA</a>. Make sure you check out their monthly faves too!</center>

-Favourite TV Show: <i>Happy Endings! It's by far one of the most underrated tv shows. It's actually hilarious and I laugh out loud during every episode. </i><br />
-Favourite Movie: <i>The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Technically this came out last year but I've only just seen it now. Hands down one of the best movies I've ever seen. Cried like a baby too!</i><br />
-Favourite Food: <i>Can't get enough of Avocado on toast right now</i><br />

<br /></div>
</center>
<center>
As per usual, link up with Natalie to answer the questions and take part in all the fun!</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
1. Would you rather have a pen pal or an email pal?</center>
<center>
I feel like having a legit pen pal would feel way more cool. Getting a letter via snail mail is way more exciting and personable. </center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
2. What are you wearing at this exact moment?</center>
<center>
A floral playsuit. I might change soon though into something a bit more comfortable.</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
3. When you are sick how do you handle it?</center>
<center>
I just don't really handle it at all. I just mope around and feel sorry for myself.<br /><br /><img alt="Cold cold.png" height="290" src="http://i93.photobucket.com/albums/l60/venus160/Funny/cold.png" width="400" /><br /><br />4. I am [fill in the blank]<br />Being a lazy ass on the couch watching E! Channel. The program isn't even interesting, but I just can't be bothered reaching for the remote.</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>

<center>
There are 3. the first is City of Bones. Even though I'll probably be disappointed. The second is Iron Man 3. And the third is Thor: The Dark World. Yup, major nerd. </center>

<br />Hello Again Everyone!</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
You've most likely noticed by now that my blog has had a bit of a makeover. I have officially changed the design, as from now on I will be documenting the process of getting ready to go to Florida in August. After that, this blog will be my main way of informing everyone about my adventure!<br /><br />So be prepared for lots of Disney updates :)</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
It's now officially 6 months until I go, and there's lots to sort out.</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
As not much is happening on the disney front right now, I thought I'd start the Disney Challenge. It's 30 days of all things Disney!</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
Let's Go!</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
Day #1: Your Favourite Character</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
This is such a hard one to start off with! Every time a new movie comes out, or every time I re-watch a movie, I change my mind. But I have to pick one, so I guess my favourite would be Dumbo. I'll always love Dumbo!</center>
<center>
He's just so adorable!</center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
<img src="http://www.cinemaspy.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/DUMBO_300.jpg" /></center>
<center>
<br /></center>
<center>
For anyone else who wants to do the Disney Challenge, here's the whole 30 days worth. Have fun!</center>
<center>

</div>
<div style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;">
</div>
This is my first time participating in Bloggy Book Club! This month's book is the first in a series that I really love....<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://img1.imagesbn.com/p/9781416955078_p1_v2_s600.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://img1.imagesbn.com/p/9781416955078_p1_v2_s600.JPG" width="211" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Anyone who likes fantasy books/supernatural themed books will most likely love this series. Personally, I really enjoy books that have a fantasy element, so this book is right up my alley. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I was first introduced to this book by my friend who owned all 3 of them at the time (there's now 5 in the series). I still am yet to read the 5th book - City of Lost Souls. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I think the easiest way for me to review this book is to write a pros and cons list. Although there won't be that many cons....</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Pros:</div>
1. Well developed characters. You can tell that the author has really thought about who each character is going to be, and has taken time to properly develop a back story for each character. They are all equally developed as well. Sometimes in books there are some really developed characters, and others that kind of fade into the background a little.<br />
2. An interesting storyline. The story pulls you in and you find yourself not wanting to put the book down.<br />
3. A variety of supernatural creatures to keep things interesting.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Cons:</div>
1. The love/hate relationship that forms with the lead male character Jace. He's a bad boy, but lovable as well. Sometimes I feel like the author just doesn't want him to be happy, and just when you think something good will happen for him, the opposite happens (this applies more to the later books though).<br />
2. The incestuous storyline. It just makes things confusing.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
If you were thinking that this book sounds too much like Twilight - think again! It is one trillion times better, and actually nothing alike really. The lead female is SO much better than Bella in Twilight. She isn't all mopey and depressed, and she doesn't act like a victim which is nice. Oh, and Jace Wayland would kick Edward Cullen's ass.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I'm excited for the movie to come out, but I'm a little worried, as movie versions always fall a bit flat in my opinion. And I am really not impressed with the casting of Jamie Campbell-Bower as Jace. He's just not sexy enough. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Final Grade : A</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Recommendation: Also read the prequel series 'The Infernal Devices'. It's the same kind of deal, but set in Victorian (?) England. It's all steampunky and awesome. And the characters connect up with the Mortal Instruments Characters, which is an added bonus. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Alright, so by now it's obvious, due to the amount of times I've mentioned it, that I'm going on a trip to the USA in August to be a part of the Disney International Program!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img src="http://www.inkandescentspeakers.com/images/87.png" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Right now, I'm in the midst of starting to plan everything. I've been to see a travel agent and looked into some flight options - and I think I've found one that looks perfect! I also go back to work on Monday, and can once again start collecting those dollars! I'll definitely need them!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Every time I think about going off to Florida, it doesn't seem real. Up until last night. One of my good friends Abbie officially left our little ol' town this morning and is flying out to Orlando tomorrow at midday!! We had a leaving party for her last night, complete with paper lanterns that we released into the sky, and a crazy game of Cranium. It was so much fun, but so sad to be seeing Abbie off for a whole year!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
(you can follow Abbie's blog about her Disney adventure <a href="http://abbieatdisney.blogspot.co.nz/"><span style="color: magenta;">here</span></a>). </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Now that Abbie has officially left, it all feels so real. It's officially 6 months today that I will be flying off to America to start my adventure! It seems like such a long time, but I'm thinking that the time will fly by. Especially with SO MUCH to organise. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Good luck Abbie! I know you will do amazing and I can't wait to see you over in America in August! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Off to a 21st tonight, so I've got to start getting ready. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Love as always,</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

I'm so excited. But not that excited to do any christmas shopping. I just got back from trying to find a present for my mum, and wanted to punch everyone in the face. I know its a nice summer day and all, but you don't have to walk at snails pace and take up all the footpath.<br />
<br />
Okay rant over. I actually do really like christmas. Promise.<br />
<br />
It's time for coffee talk again! As per usual, link up with <a href="http://www.thespunkyposer.com/search/label/coffee%20talk">Nat</a> to join in.<br />

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b style="background-color: white; font-family: arial, Geneva, sans-serif; font-size: small; line-height: 18px; text-align: justify;">1. What type of phone do you have?</b></div>
<div>
I have a Nokia C3 something something. I can't actually be bothered getting up to go find my phone and look at its exact model. Its a pretty good phone - and also a nokia so you can drop it a million times and it pretty much will never break. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b style="background-color: white; font-family: arial, Geneva, sans-serif; font-size: small; line-height: 18px; text-align: justify;">2. Look to your right. What do you see?</b></div>
<div>
A giant super-pump water bottle. Standard for these crazy-hot summer days in NZ. I actually think I'm melting right now. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b style="background-color: white; font-family: arial, Geneva, sans-serif; font-size: small; line-height: 18px; text-align: justify;">3. List 5 random facts about yourself...</b></div>
<div>
Alright....</div>
<div>
1. Broccoli is my favourite vegetable. </div>
<div>
2. The only song I can play on the guitar is the Harry Potter theme music.</div>
<div>
3. I am terrified of moths. Especially those massive furry ones. </div>
<div>
4. Watching 'Victorious' on Nickelodeon is my guilty pleasure.</div>
<div>
5. I love playing Monopoly. But no one ever wants to play it with me. Forever alone. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<b style="background-color: white; font-family: arial, Geneva, sans-serif; font-size: small; line-height: 18px; text-align: justify;">4. What is that one talent you wish you were great at?</b></div>
<div>
So easy! To be a good singer. Or to be able to play an instrument really well. I have tried to play the guitar and the piano and it just hasn't worked out for me. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
5. <b style="background-color: white; font-family: arial, Geneva, sans-serif; font-size: small; line-height: 18px; text-align: justify;">5. <span class="fbPhotosPhotoCaption" id="fbPhotoSnowliftCaption" tabindex="0"><span class="hasCaption">Go to <a href="http://wikipedia.org/" style="color: #c42219; text-decoration: initial;" target="_blank">Wikipedia.org</a> and hit random article. Hello there. It's been a while. I have been having a major blogging mindblank of late (or lifeblank, that's probably more accurate). Sorry bout that. BUT...I'm back for Coffee Talk! Head on over to<span style="color: red;"> <a href="http://www.thespunkyposer.com/search/label/coffee%20talk">Nat's</a> </span>newly-revamped blog to join in!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;">
</div>
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<center>
</center>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.thespunkyposer.com/search/label/coffee%20talk" target="_blank"><img src="http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q315/nbest1980/buttons/coffeetalk-1.png" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #38761d;">1. What are your winter 'must-haves'?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Anything warm. Winter here in New Zealand gets rather chilly, seeing as we're at the bottom of the world and all. So think big woolly blankets, socks, scarves. Scarves are very important. Hot chocolate, or any chocolatey beverage is always good. Also a good strong umbrella - as it rains A LOT here in winter. I have parted with many many umbrellas unceremoniously in the wind. </div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><img height="320" src="http://www.shannonburns.com/toon299.gif" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;" width="233" /></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">This has happened to 99% of my umbrellas. </td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #38761d;">2. What is on your Christmas wishlist this year?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Oh so many things that I won't receive. An iPhone mainly. Defs wont be getting that. I'm not really expecting much to be honest, as the fam and I are only having a very small Christmas this year. I pretty much would be very appreciative of any sum of money. I desperately need to save for my year away in Florida next year. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img height="200" src="http://blogs-images.forbes.com/roberthof/files/2012/09/iphone5-ignore.jpeg" width="200" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #38761d;">3. What is your favourite holiday coffee/tea/alcoholic beverage?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Anything that's available. Sounds really boring but I'm being honest. Except wine or beer - they're gross. I have been reading on other blogs all about these yummy sounding Starbucks drinks. They sound sooo good! C'mon NZ Starbucks, keep up with your motherland!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #38761d;">4. Top 3 must-have holiday desserts?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1. Cheesecake. My mum makes this ah-mah-zing berry and dark chocolate cheesecake sometimes. It's so sweet that one slice gives you diabetes, but its soooooooo good! Looks a little something like this...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://img4.myrecipes.com/i/recipes/hl/raspberry-swirl-cheesecake-XL.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://img4.myrecipes.com/i/recipes/hl/raspberry-swirl-cheesecake-XL.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
For numbers 2 &3, see above.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #38761d;">5. What time do you get up to open presents with your family? Do you clean up right away or do you leave it there in a pile until right before trash day?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I used to lie awake in bed when I was little and try to catch Santa (more like Dad) sneaking in and putting my presents on the end of my bed. Nowadays, Christmas morning is way more laid-back. In my family, Christmas Eve is actually when all the shenanigans go down - we always play some kind of interactive game, like cranium etc while having a few drinks - and then Christmas Day we have a big breakfast or lunch and just relax and do nothing for the rest of the day. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: #38761d;">6. What is your new years resolution?</span></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I've only ever made one new years resolution, and that was to get my drivers license. I'm one for one! This year it is to get into shape for my trip to America. It's going to be really difficult, especially since I am literally the laziest person ever. But I'll be so mad at myself if I don't, so, wish me luck!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
That's it for coffee talk this week! Hope you all have fantastic Christmases! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<span style="color: red;">- xoxo Rach. </span></div>

<br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;">I'm still wondering how on earth I forgot to link up, over a week ago, to installment 11 of Coffee Talk! How slack of me! This week it's all about drinking.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Alas, I'm doing it now. If you feel like also being a week-late for a link up, head on over to <a href="http://www.ohemgeeblog.com/search?updated-max=2012-11-23T06:00:00-05:00&max-results=5">Natalie's</a> blog to join in. </span><br />

<br />
<span style="background-color: white; line-height: 16px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><b>1. What is your favorite drink called? What are the ingredients in it?</b></span></span><br />
<span style="background-color: white; line-height: 16px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">I have no idea what the drink is called, but it is my fave drink when I can afford all the separate ingredients for it. The drink has three important components, the first being vodka. Secondly, add cranberry juice, and then some redbull. Finally, add a quick squeeze of lime, and <i>viola!</i> A super-tasty drink for you to enjoy. </span></span><br />
<span style="background-color: white; line-height: 16px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></span>

<b style="background-color: white; font-family: inherit; line-height: 16px; text-align: justify;">2. How old were you when you first got drunk?</b><br />
<span style="background-color: white; line-height: 16px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">Hmmm, I think I was 16? </span></span><br />
<span style="background-color: white; line-height: 16px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="background-color: white; line-height: 16px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><b>3. Name an embarrasing moment about you or your friends that occured while drinking.</b></span></span><br />
<span style="background-color: white; line-height: 16px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">Oh god, so many. The main ones would have to be drinking too much peach-flavoured vodka (I still shiver at the sight of it), and ending up in my recycling bin. My two friends (bless them) managed to get me to bed, but not before I'd named my spew-bucket 'Gandalf'. This story will no doubt make an appearance at my 21st coming up in April.</span></span><br />
<span style="background-color: white; line-height: 16px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="background-color: white; line-height: 16px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><b>4. What is your favorite party drinking game?</b></span></span><br />
<span style="background-color: white; line-height: 16px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">I'm quite a fan of circle of death. I also enjoy a good game of 'Up the River'- but do not play this unless you intend to get very very messy.</span></span><br />
<span style="background-color: white; line-height: 16px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></span>

<span style="background-color: white; line-height: 16px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">Definitely a happy drunk. My friends constantly remind me of how much I like to hug people and tell them I love them. </span></span><br />
<span style="background-color: white; line-height: 16px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></span>

<span style="background-color: white; line-height: 16px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">I don't like drinking beer or wine. I think they taste gross. I also don't like Gin. But pretty much anything else I will drink. Also, if I can avoid Tequila, I will. </span></span><br />
<span style="background-color: white; line-height: 16px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></span>
<span style="background-color: white; line-height: 16px; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: inherit;">This was in perfect timing for a 21st I am heading to this weekend! I will be making myself the drink featured in number 1. Hope you all have a great week!</span></span><br />

Yuss! This is one link-up that I absolutely adore. If you want to join in, head on over to <a href="http://www.ohemgeeblog.com/search/label/coffee%20talk"><span style="color: #cc0000;">Ohemgee...the blog</span></a> to link up! This week's questions are all about habits and pet peeves.<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<div>
<center>
</center>
</div>
<div>
<a href="http://www.ohemgeeblog.com/search/label/coffee%20talk" target="_blank"><img alt="Coffee Talk with Natalie Blair" border="0" src="http://i139.photobucket.com/albums/q315/nbest1980/buttons/coffeetalk.png" /></a></div>
</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<span style="color: #38761d;">1. What is your worst habit?</span></div>
<div>
Definitely biting my fingernails. It's really gross and I'm currently trying to stop for the 1,345,567th time. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<span style="color: #38761d;">2. What is your biggest pet peeve?</span></div>
<div>
Oh God, so so many. Let us begin....<br />
-Talking in the movie theatre. Seriously, you're not even TRYING to whisper! All good if its an outrageously funny comedy (a la bridesmaids), but not when it's the fifth movie in a very dramatic series (harry potter) and you're asking the person next to you who all the characters are! </div>
<div>
- People who follow too close/don't indicate while driving. People do not know where you're going!!! Also, if you love my car that much, i'll happily attach a tow-rope.</div>
<div>
- Snoring. I can't freaking sleep! Move rooms. </div>
<div>
- Bad grammar. If you don't know the difference between they're, their and there, just give up on life now. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<span style="color: #38761d;">3. What is annoying you right this very minute?</span></div>
<div>
My computer is currently installing some windows updates, in turn making my computer run extremely slow. I have zero patience when it comes to technology.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<span style="color: #38761d;">4. How do you relieve stress?</span></div>
<div>
Food mainly. Think everything that is bad for you in heinous quantities. Chocolate mainly. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<span style="color: #38761d;">5. What TRULY makes you happy?</span></div>
<div>
The internet? My computer stopped working once for half a day and I didn't know what to do with myself. That's all I can think of haha. I seriously have no life.<br />
Oh, and I suppose my family and friends. They're a bit of alright. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I'll be back next time answering questions about drinking. I have plenty of answers to share about that! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>

The time where I should be studying for my last ever exam tomorrow, but have decided to do bloggy stuff instead. I'm awesome at procrastination. Fo' reals - I should get an award.....<br />

An iPhone mainly. And a new iPod as mine is slowly dying. Die fast iPod so I can replace you!<br />
<br />
<b style="background-color: white; color: #4a4a4a; font-family: 'PT Sans'; font-size: 15px; line-height: 21px; text-align: -webkit-center;">Share a new iPhone app you have recently discovered that we all need:</b><br />

<div style="text-align: left;">
New Zealand is always WAAAAY behind on tv shows and it's the most annoying thing ever. First world problems. So, I tend to watch everything online. Right now I'm loving Revolution and Arrow. Damaged but sexy dude with spartan-like abs? Yes!</div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
Songs: I have a few - 'Poison & Wine' by The Civil Wars, 'Six Degrees of Separation' by The Script, 'Boston' by Augustana, and many many more.<br />
T.V Shows: Supernatural (I own most of the seasons on dvd), Parks & Recreation, Happy Endings.<br />
Movies: Anchorman and Mean Girls. Can pretty much quote th<span style="font-family: inherit;">em both.</span> </div>

</div>
<div style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;">
</div>
<br />
<br />
...But first, a bit of an update.<br />
I've finally received my new passport and sent it off to the Disney people. Sidenote, my new photo doesn't look like a criminal's bail photo! Yusss!<br />
<br />
Anyway, onto Coffee Talk for this week. Today's questions are coming from Shannon over at <a href="http://www.mehspaceblog.com/"><span style="color: #990000;">Mehspace!</span></a><br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.ohemgeeblog.com/"><span style="color: #990000;">Natalie</span></a> reckons we all should do vlogs this week.....i'm being shy and opting out - I think I sound a little bit manly on tape. It's also 11.57p.m in NZ at the moment and I'm in my pyjamas.<br />
<br />
<span style="color: #990000;">1. If you could punch ANY celebrity in the face, who would it be and why?</span><br />
Oh, so easy! Hands down it's gotta be Lindsay Lohan. She's so annoying.<br />
Oooh, just thought of another! Kristen Stewart! "I love when actresses show no emotion throughout the whole movie" said no one ever.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.stuffistumbledupon.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/I-Dont-always-smile-but-when-I-do-I-dont-Kristen-Stewart-Meme-Twilight-Vampires-Werevolves-Edwar.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://www.stuffistumbledupon.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/06/I-Dont-always-smile-but-when-I-do-I-dont-Kristen-Stewart-Meme-Twilight-Vampires-Werevolves-Edwar.jpg" width="153" /></a></div>
<br />
<span style="color: #990000;">2. If you could go streaking anywhere and get away with it, where would you do it?</span><br />
I don't really fancy streaking anywhere, but I'll answer just to humour all of you. Here in NZ, if you streak at any sporting events, about 5 massive dudes appear from nowhere and chase you down, and it's hilarious to watch on t.v. So getting away with that would be a great accomplishment for the avid NZ streaker haha.<br />
<br />
<span style="color: #990000;">3. What's more important to a relationship: Common values or commonalities? </span><br />
Definitely common values. But then again, you don't want to date someone you have nothing in common with. Isn't having common values a commonality though?? Ooooh gotcha on that one!<br />
<br />
<span style="color: #990000;">4. Would you rather be insane in a functional society, or be one of the people running a dysfunctional society?</span><br />
Definitely running a dysfunctional society. I feel like this would have better outcomes in the long term. I'm thinking Hunger Games here....but not book 3.....that's when it becomes bad to be in charge.<br />
<br />
<span style="color: #990000;">5. What's your favourite type of pickle? Dill, Bread 'n' Butter, Spicy...?</span><br />
None? Is a pickle just a bigger form of a gherkin? All I know about pickles is that Snooki loves them...<br />
<br />
That's it for this week's coffee talk. I look forward to next time. Maybe I'll do a vlog then!Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/15421934499846022156noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3700586504193448902.post-39674442538721790522012-10-31T20:42:00.000+13:002012-10-31T20:42:23.823+13:00Blogger Book Club!Hey all!<br />
<br />
I'm once again doing a new link-up, Blogger Book Club!<br />
<br />
<br />
<center>
</center>
<br />
<a href="http://itsalyx.com/" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1157.photobucket.com/albums/p588/alyxblogdesign/buttons/bc1.png" /></a><br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
This month's book is The Perks of Being a Wallflower </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Qo2wNUXKNhQ/UGzk6zRopwI/AAAAAAAAAKs/US-b8POYZz4/s1600/Photo0090.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="200" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Qo2wNUXKNhQ/UGzk6zRopwI/AAAAAAAAAKs/US-b8POYZz4/s200/Photo0090.jpg" width="150" /></a></div>
<div>
Contrary to what most of the reviews have been, I actually really liked this book! I originally wanted to read it after seeing the trailer for the movie, which looked really good. I'm definitely a person who likes to read the books before movies, so I purchased the book online. The photo above is my own copy :)</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
First off, I think the characters in the book are really well-developed. The main character Charlie is so observant, and the things he does for his friends are super-sweet. I got a bit teary at one particular moment when they all exchange christmas gifts. There are moments where you find yourself wanting to jump into the pages and slap him, but for the most part I liked that he was so caring and loyal to his friends, and to his family. I do agree that the ending was a little bit lacking though, considering Charlie's development throughout the story. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
A lot of the reviews I have read are quite negative about the book's subject matter. It does deal with some pretty heavy topics like abortion and sexual abuse - but in my opinion, I think it is good that the author isn't afraid to write about such things. I also don't have a problem with the book being aimed at young adults - I think teenagers need to learn that horrible things do happen to some people and that the world isn't always a happy place. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Overall, I loved this book, and I am glad that I own my own copy. I will probably end up reading it again. My final grade is an A! :)</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Excited to find out what next month's book will be! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>

1. <b style="color: #3f3f3f; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 16px; text-align: justify;">What is in your playlist?</b><br />
<span style="color: #3f3f3f; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 16px;">Soooo many songs. But I have specific playlists that I listen to when doing certain things. For example:</span></span><span style="color: #3f3f3f; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 16px;"><br /></span></span><br />
<span style="color: #3f3f3f; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 16px;"><b>Study </b>- all my slow songs that aren't too distracting. Artists like Sia, The Civil Wars, Jack's Mannequin.</span></span><span style="color: #3f3f3f; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 16px;"><br /></span></span><br />
<span style="color: #3f3f3f; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 16px;"><b>Exercise</b> - All my upbeat, clubby songs. Jason Derulo frequents this playlist quite often haha</span></span><span style="color: #3f3f3f; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 16px;"><br /></span></span><br />
<span style="color: #3f3f3f; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 16px;">I also have a <b>'Sad</b>' playlist for when I'm in sad moods. Sometimes you just need to cry it out. </span></span><br />
<span style="color: #3f3f3f; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 16px;"><br /></span></span><b style="color: #3f3f3f; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 16px;">2. What is the funniest YouTube video you always go to when you need a laugh (or if you just wanna watch it)?</b><span style="color: #3f3f3f; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 16px;">There are a lot of youtube videos that I find high-larious, but this one featuring Chris Evans (my fav) in drag is pretty brilliant. I don't think it's fair that he looks better as a girl than I do! </span></span><br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: #3f3f3f; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 16px;"><br /></span></span></div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: #3f3f3f; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 16px;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b style="color: #3f3f3f; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 16px;">3. Favorite song in the whole wide world that you never get sick of and it's on repeat.</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: #3f3f3f; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 16px;">I normally go through phases of listening to certain songs over and over, then I'll get sick of them and move on to some new songs. I've recently gotten into The Civil Wars though, and their song 'Poison & Wine' is so beautiful! Really sad, but their voices are amazing together and the harmonies are insanely good! </span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: #3f3f3f; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 16px;"><br /></span></span></div>

<b style="color: #3f3f3f; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 16px;">4. Do you have any embarrassing songs/singers/bands that you like?</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: #3f3f3f; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 16px;">One Direction haha. Actually, I'm not as embarrased about this as I am about liking 2 Justin Bieber songs. It's only 2, promise!</span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: #3f3f3f; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 12px; line-height: 16px;"><br /></span></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b style="color: #3f3f3f; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 16px;">5. What's that ONE song that ALWAYS makes you cry?</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: #3f3f3f; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 16px;">Bright Eyes by Art Garfunkel. It's also featured on one of the most terrifying movies of my childhood - Watership Down. Actual! That movie is horrific.</span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: #3f3f3f; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 16px;"><br /></span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<b style="color: #3f3f3f; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 16px;">6. What song have you recently heard, that you can't seem to get out of your head?</b></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: #3f3f3f; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 16px;">I watched the most recent episode of Supernatural last night, and the song that was featured in the episode was really cool! I cannot for the life of me find out what it was though! If anyone knows, do tell. It will be very appreciated. </span><br />
<span style="color: #3f3f3f; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 16px;"><br /></span>
<span style="color: #3f3f3f; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 16px;">*UPDATE*</span><br />
<span style="color: #3f3f3f; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 16px;">I have found the song! Its called 'What's the matter?' by Milo Greene. </span></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<span style="color: #3f3f3f; font-family: Arial, Tahoma, Helvetica, FreeSans, sans-serif; font-size: 12px; line-height: 16px;"><br /></span></div>
